This is an in-house service provided by Create where we can rebuild or redesign pages on your existing website using our latest content building tools. Originally designed in an effort to make all of our customer sites mobile-friendly, this is particularly useful for website owners who don’t necessarily have the time to rebuild their website or would simply like some help from a Create expert.

If you’re currently using our older Static Pages for your Create website, then your website won’t be mobile-friendly which could be negatively affecting your Google search ranking. We’re encouraging all of our customers to use our latest templates and to rebuild their web pages with our Content Pages to ensure their website is fully responsive and optimised for smaller devices.

For a one-off price, we’re giving you the opportunity to work with our one of our Create experts who’ll rebuild your current web pages and work with you to decide on a suitable new theme for your website. Included is also a free demo of our content building tools to ensure you’re comfortable managing your pages moving forward.

How it works

We’ll start the process by creating you a sample page and then give you a quote based on the number of pages and content you have on your site. If you’re happy to go ahead, we can then use that sample page to make a decision on a new template then begin the process of rebuilding each web page using our Content Pages.

When replacing your pages, we’ll pay particular attention to any meta information or alt tags on images in order to make sure these are all replicated. On each specific page, we’ll also make sure to keep the layout of your content as close to the original as possible to honour your original design choices.

Once the conversion process is complete and you are happy with the results, you’ll have the opportunity to receive a 1-2-1 demo of the Content Page building platform and a chance to ask any questions.

FAQs

How do I know which pages I’m currently using for my website?

To the left of each of your pages in the Content area will be a little icon that indicates what type of page that specific page is. Static pages, PageBuilder pages and our new Content Pages all have a different icon so that it is easily identifiable which page building software has been used.

Do pages like the Blog and Shop need to be converted?

Any pages that have their own unique page icon will be a pre-formatted page that will not need converting.

Can I use the service if I am not with Create?

If you are not a Create customer and host a site elsewhere, you can certainly take advantage of our Website Conversion service. We’ll base our estimate on building your website from scratch and we’ll work with you to make sure you’re happy along the way.

How do I access the new content building tools?

In your Create account, if you click to add a new page in the Content area, you should see the Content Page option there. Our Content Pages use our latest content building software to allow you to add and edit content.

How do you decide which new template to use?

Once we’ve built you a sample page, we’ll send you a few suggestions for new templates based on the template you are currently using. You can then use the sample page to preview how your homepage will look whilst you look through our latest templates.

When is the payment taken?

Once you’ve decided on a template, we’ll take half of the payment upfront, carry out the conversion and then take the final payment once the work is completed.

How is the payment taken?

Once you’ve agreed to the conversion to go ahead, we can take the payment manually from the payment card that is currently linked to your Create account. If you’d like the payment to come from a different account, we can also arrange this for you.

What if the conversion takes longer than originally quoted?

If for some reason we realise that the conversion is going to take longer than originally quoted, then we’ll let you know as soon as possible and discuss whether you’d like us to continue or convert as many of the pages as possible within the time frame given.

Likewise, if the conversion is a lot quicker than the original quote, we’ll let you know and reduce the price accordingly.

What happens to my old pages?

As each page is replicated, the original page will be hidden from your main menu and moved to the bottom of your list of pages in the Content area of your Create account. We’ll leave it to you to delete these pages in your own time.

How many changes can I make?

The idea behind the service is that we take the main bulk of converting your pages off your hands and then teach you how to use the Content Pages so you’re happy making edits and adding new pages yourself moving forward. We also want to make sure you’re completely happy with your new pages, so there’ll be time for feedback after the work is completed where some small edits can be made for you if need be.
